The conference will be from June 29 to July 2, 2025, at AF-Borgen, the the Academic Society (Akademiska Föreningen) building in Lund, a city in southern Sweden.

Jette Knudsen is the chairman of the ICUP 2025 organizing committee.

“After the close of ICUP 2022 in Barcelona, we assembled our 2025 Organising Committee, which includes members from most Nordic countries. We are already working hard to prepare another stimulating and productive ICUP event,” Knudsen said in the news release.

As at previous ICUP conferences, the 2025 program will address the science and management of a wide variety of urban pests and vectors, including those of hygiene, structural and medical importance. Particular focus will be on pests that have an increasing impact as a result of our changing world. The impact of regulatory and stewardship challenges will also be included.

In addition to the main conference sessions, there will be breakout sessions and workshops, as well as the ever-popular conference dinner. Equally important are the informal networking time”

New from Control Solutions Inc. (CSI), Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait is a triple mode-of-action solution for controlling fire ants all season long. It contains three active ingredients: indoxacarb, novaluron and pyriproxyfen, and is labeled for use in residential and commercial lawns and landscape areas, golf courses, recreational areas and industrial sites. Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait works to kill the queen and workers, resulting in the elimination of the entire colony. One application controls fire ants for an entire season. Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait is labeled for application to individual mounds or as a broadcast treatment for larger areas. It is not a restricted-use product (RUP), allowing applicators to use the product where they need it without the burden of additional record keeping. The bait is labeled not only for red imported fire ants (Solenopsis invicta, or RIFA), but also for big-headed ants (Pheidole megacephala, or BHA), pavement ants (Tetramorium caespitum) and turfgrass ants (Lasius neoniger).
