Memphis, Tenn.-based ServiceMaster Global Holdings Inc. named Kim Scott as president of Terminix Residential. In addition, Southwest division vice president Lance Martin was promoted to vice president of field operations, reporting to Scott.

Scott’s most recent position was president of Rubicon Global, a business waste and recycling technology corporation.

“Terminix has a strong reputation and brand, and I’m honored to lead this incredible team,” she tells Pest Management Professional (PMP) magazine. “Our business has tremendous opportunity for continued growth and improvement. It’s a people business, so focusing on engaging our people is the key to delivering exceptional experiences for our customers and enhanced value for our shareholders.”

Scott is also the former president of CHEP North America, a division of Brambles Limited, where she was responsible for the $2.3 billion supply chain logistics company providing reusable unit load equipment to large manufacturers and retailers.

“While we have made significant strides in our residential pest control business, much remains to be accomplished to consistently deliver unparalleled customer experiences,” ServiceMaster CEO Nik Varty said in a press release. “We have systematically improved our [Net Promoter, or] NPS scores, customer retention and are steadily gaining traction in driving organic growth. We have embarked on a bold journey to implement a powerful Salesforce information systems platform, are rolling out our cleansheet initiatives and transforming our organization toward a servant-led leadership culture. Our organization will benefit greatly from Kim’s leadership and experience in driving a customer-first culture change, enhancing productivity and increasing our focus on growing recurring high-margin product lines.”

Scott holds a bachelor of science degree in environmental science from Auburn (Ala.) University, and began her career as an environmental engineer for General Electric and later, U.S. Steel.

“We are blessed to have amazing employees and customers, and as the leader of Terminix Residential, it is my responsibility to ensure our people are thriving and growing, both as employees and as individuals,” she tells PMP. “We will continue to focus on meeting the needs of our frontline people who are serving our customers each day. I’m excited to get into the field to listen and learn from our entire team, so that we can make our business even better than it is today.”
