Truly Nolen Pest Control promoted two training and technical department employees to newly created positions. Scott Svenheim, ACE, was promoted to national training manager and will remain based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Tucson, Ariz. Mike Duncan, ACE, was promoted to national technical manager, and will remain based out of the company’s Florida operations headquarters in Orlando, Fla.

Svenheim will oversee the field training of team members, written training programs, classroom training and online training. He joined Truly Nolen in June 1986 as a route technician, and has held multiple roles during his 34-year career. His primary focus has been training since 1994, when he was promoted to regional trainer. Most recently, he served as a trainer at the company’s headquarters, and was the Trul-e-Learn trainer, a digital training module he first rolled out in 2002.

“My favorite thing about working for Truly Nolen is the importance of values and the family atmosphere working here,” Svenheim said. “I am most excited about continuing to help our most important assets, our people, be the best-trained in the industry. I also am very excited to see how we can continue to improve the online learning aspect. I’m currently working on preparing our existing content for a more mobile-friendly learning environment, and we are also in the research phase of understanding how virtual reality technology may help us train better in the future.”

Duncan will be in charge of all protocols and material inventory, and will oversee the field’s needs as it relates to resource specialists’ allocation. He joined Truly Nolen in September 2001 as a sales inspector, and has held multiple roles during his 19-year career. His primary focus has been technical since 2010, when he joined the training and technical department as the eastern region trainer. Most recently, he assisted in creating protocols and teaching a wide variety of classes.

“My favorite thing about being part of this family at Truly Nolen is the fact that everyone cares about doing the right thing and taking care of our customers and partners,” Duncan said. “I look forward to continue helping drive the business in an efficient way, and helping our partners any way I can.”

Mark Ringlstetter, VP, training and technical services at Truly Nolen, noted the long-time employees promotions in a recent news release. “Both Scott and Mike have been tremendous assets to our company during their careers. I am confident both of them will do great things in their new roles,” Ringlstetter said.
