Tacoma, Wash.-based Sprague Pest Solutions has acquired MasterCare Pest Management, based in Phoenix, Ariz. As its first office in Arizona, the acquisition complements Sprague’s recent expansion into neighboring California and Nevada. Terms were not disclosed.
Owned by Tim Olson and his family since 2002, MasterCare is known for providing eco-friendly pest management services. Olson and his brother, Jeff, and their sons, Jared and Chris, have joined the Sprague team at the new Phoenix service center.
“Sprague’s technology, training and quality-based services fit perfectly with our commitment to service excellence,” Tim Olson said in a news release. “Our employees now have more career growth opportunities and access to a wider choice of benefits that we couldn’t afford as a smaller company. Our employees and long-time customers are excited to see us move forward with such an excellent company as Sprague.”
In other Sprague news, Dan Scott, BCE, has joined the company as the regional entomologist for Arizona, California and Nevada. Scott, who earned his biology degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, has 30 years of industry experience, including owning a pest control firm.
According to a news release, “the addition of Scott reinforces Sprague’s commitment to education and training that has seen 15 percent of all Sprague employees earn advanced entomology degrees or designations… it will provide expanded and more flexible technical resources for clients and Sprague’s field staff.”
In business for more than 95 years, Sprague provides pest management services to a diverse base of commercial clients across 10 western U.S. states from nearly 20 service centers.
