Al Formella will retire from McCall Services, a Rollins brand, after 40 years in the pest control industry.
Formella has served in many leadership roles within McCall Services, most notably and recently as vice president of sales operations.
He also served previously as regional director of the Florida Pest Management Association (FPMA) and committee chairperson for the Copesan Development Committee.
Formella joined the McCall Service family in 1983 as a termite technician. In his tenure, he has served in every operational role available within the company. He is an Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) and a certified operator in several categories. Formella has a technical background and leadership mentality that supported the overall growth of not only McCall Service in Florida but several teams under his guidance.
“Al has touched countless lives. It’s hard to put into words the type of impact Al has made on everyone,” said John Cooksey, McCall Service brand ambassador and former owner.“He is very involved in our Florida Pest Control Association, with his teams, and with his Ocala community. Many look to him for wisdom, guidance, and mentorship. I am fortunate to know him well and to call him a friend.”
“Al’s dedication, commitment to excellence, and genuine care for his teammates are unparalleled and will be deeply missed,” stated Josh Cooksey, general manager of McCall Service. “We wish him all the best in a happy retirement with his lovely wife, Vivian.”
Formella is still active with the FPMA and other industry organizations. He is also active with local Ocala organizations, including the Ocala Rotary Club, where he has previously served as president.
