Inspired by the overwhelming support and contributions received from their employees and customers, Whitmore Pest and Wildlife Control is taking its commitment a step further. The company is offering complimentary pest and/or rodent control services to a non-profit organization in the Denver, Colo., metro area that serves homeless Veterans. This could include a soup kitchen, homeless shelter or food pantry.
Whitmore Pest and Wildlife Control participated in the Colorado Pest Control Association (CPCA) PestVets coat drive, an initiative dedicated to collecting warm weather gear for homeless Veterans.
In December, CPCA’s newly formed PestVets state unit coordinated with pest control companies to collect over 700 coats and pieces of winter weather gear for Veterans in need.
“Demonstrating a commitment to community and national heroes, the company went beyond just encouraging employee donations, actively involving their customer base in this noble cause,” according to the news release.
One such customer, Elaine Love, said in the news release, “It is my honor to join Whitmore Pest Control in honoring and supporting our Veterans. Without the service and dedication of our Veterans, we would not have the freedoms and opportunity we enjoy in this great country of ours. My donation of warm coats and warm boots is only a small contribution in comparison to the sacrifice of our Veterans. The gratitude goes to our Veterans.”
Continuing the mission
The Whitmore team was so inspired by the participation in the CPCA initiative that it decided to take things a step further, the company is offering complimentary pest and/or rodent control services to a non-profit organization in the Denver, Colo., metro area that serves homeless Veterans. This could include a soup kitchen, homeless shelter or food pantry.
“Recognizing the challenging circumstances faced by the homeless, we believe our expertise in pest and rodent control can play a vital role in safeguarding their food and shelter,” Richard Christner, co-owner of Whitmore Pest and Wildlife Control, said in the news release. “We are eager to contribute and make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.”
This participation in the CPCA PestVets coat drive and the additional commitment to providing essential services to non-profits reflects Whitmore Pest and Wildlife Control’s dedication to giving back to the community and especially to those who have served the nation.
