Target Specialty Products has announced several strategic changes to its organizational structure, taking place effective immediately.

These proactive steps occur with the intent to evolve the business model and better align talent with strategic goals, positioning the company for long-term optimization and success.

Promotions and new business units:

Tom Algeo has been promoted to senior director, Pest. Tom will now oversee the consolidated Pest US business, including Pest East, Pest West and Vector.

Bobby Maston will continue in his role as director of sales for Pest West. While his regional scope remains unchanged, he will now report directly to Tom Algeo as part of the unified Pest leadership team. Sales managers for Pest West will continue to report to Maston.

Mike Nichols, sales manager at Vector, will now also report to Tom Algeo as an integral part of the Pest business unit.

Casey O’Connor, formerly director of purchasing, has been promoted to senior director, T&O and specialty businesses. In this new role, Casey will spearhead the formation and strategic direction of this unified business unit. His oversight will include US T&O, Canada, Cygnet, Vertex and Proprietary turf products.

Purchasing inquiries should still be directed to Casey O’Connor and Carrie Fowler until the director of purchasing position is filled.

T&O sales transition

Mark Miller, director of T&O sales, has elected to step into a new role in the Northeast as manager, T&O business development and sales specialist, reporting to Casey O’Connor.

Marketing consolidation:

To better align strategy, Target is establishing a dedicated internal marketing function. Bobby Kossowicz, previously strategic partner manager, has been promoted to senior manager, marketing, reporting directly to David Helt. Kossowicz will oversee Target’s marketing department, including both pest and turf, while maintaining her strategic partnership duties.
