Columnist Ray Johnson inspired us once again — check out his column about how uniforms make all the difference for his team and branding. So many of his colleagues feel the same way, evidently, judging by the worldwide response we received this summer from a Facebook call for photos. What follows is just a smattering of the images readers sent.
Kirkwood Forbes says “this is how we roll in the Bahamas.” The owner of Forbes Pest Control, George Town, Exuma — not far from the famous swimming pigs on Pig Beach — adds that while you might not think long sleeves would be ideal for the warm climate, the fabric is actually quite cool.
“We use ripstop wicking shirts to stay cool,” notes Randy Parker, manager of Mike’s Pest Control, League City, Texas. He adds that, when hired, each employee is given a hat and 13 shirts to rotate: “We probably switch our shirts every few years; our company color is blue. We keep our shirts pressed for an always-professional appearance.”
A back-of-shirt logo adorns the uniform of an R&Z Pest Control technician conducting a termite pre-treat in Faisalabad, Pakistan. This photo was sent by R&Z Owner Rana Aown Muhammad.
Orange is the name of the game for The Bug Guys co-owners Jim Pond, left, and Ken Stanley, with Operations Manager Robin Castano in the center. The company is based in Port Saint Lucie, Fla.
Sentinel Pest Control in Kitchener, Ontario, has, “from day one, prided ourselves on looking different from everyone else.” That’s according to Office Administrator Sabrina Pantic, who sent in this professionally shot photo from Sentinel’s website. Pictured are co-founders Toma Pantic, left, and Jovan Ashley.
