ServiceMaster has announced the formation of a new business unit, Terminix Specialty Brands. The unit is comprised of 11 companies acquired by Terminix in recent years that are retaining their brand, along with new brand equity acquisitions.
Terminix Specialty Brands will be led by Phil Cooper, former owner of Cooper Pest Solutions, Lawrenceville, N.J., which was acquired by Terminix in May 2018. Cooper also is former president and CEO of BedBug Central.
In his new role, Cooper will help drive process improvements, appropriately transition and integrate several long-standing acquisitions, and ensure the right welcome and integration for Terminix’s new acquisitions. He will be supported by a multi-functional team.
Cooper will also be part of the Strategy and Business Development team, reporting to Dion Persson. He will help in identifying companies with tremendous brand equity to join the Specialty Brands unit of 11 existing brands.
“When companies with ‘special sauce’ join the Terminix team, we are creating a unique transition process and a platform designed to take the brand to greater heights, while providing their teams new and exciting opportunities,” Cooper says. “These powerful brands will be part of a proud new tradition, resulting in new raving fans of Terminix, ServiceMaster and the culture we are designing.”
Headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., Terminix services approximately 2.7 million residential and commercial customers in 47 states and 19 countries. It is a business unit of ServiceMaster Global Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: SERV), a provider of residential and commercial services. Terminix is also known as the “Official Pest Control Specialist of Minor League Baseball.”
