The president and owner of Prestige Pest Services Favio Ulloa was invited as a speaker representing the Hispanic community for the annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at Borough Hall in Hawthorne, N.J.
Leading to this celebration of diversity, Ulloa also partners with Hawthorne’s city council and provided consultancy in the planning of this event. Th e collaboration included Mayor Richard Goldberg, Councilman Bruce Bennett, Councilman Frank Matthews, Councilwoman Rayna Laiosa, Councilman John Lane, Councilman Dominick Mele, Councilman Joseph Wojtecki and Councilman Mike Sciarra.
The community celebration included music, dance performances and food to represent Hispanic heritage.
Ulloa said that he was “honored to be part of the Hispanic Heritage Committee to recognize and celebrate the Hispanic and Latino residents in the community. Prestige Pest Services and its team of experts are always ready to service the Latino and Hispanic community.”
Ulloa founded and owns Prestige Pest Services with his wife, Karol. The couple emigrated to New Jersey from Ecuador in their early 20s. Soon after they arrived, they both learned English as a second language at a local community college and help a variety of jobs that taught them about sales and customer service, according to a previous PMP article. All of this prepared them for becoming pest management professionals.
He previously told PMP magazine that the growth of Prestige Pest Services will be “with great customer service, increasing our sales, keeping up our inventory and providing our technicians with the latest training and technology.”
Prestige Pest Services offers free inspection advice and evaluation concentrating efforts on preventative services, according to the website. The company offers commercial, residential and retail industry services.
