There is no way to completely prevent someone from transporting and bringing bed bugs into a building. Still, prevention for the customer means awareness — knowing the signs of bed bugs and checking for their presence in items when traveling and when home. For many customers, the first sign of bed bugs will be reactions to the bites (assuming they react at all).
Most bed bug infestations that go unnoticed are going to be small populations. The key is to try to identify these small infestations before they become a major issue.
Education and communication are key to helping customers with bed bug prevention. Explain places to check for bed bugs, what to look for, and ultimately, to contact you immediately if they are concerned about the presence of bed bugs. It’s much easier to solve a bed bug infestation early before it has time to grow and spread.
