Now available from Insect Limited’s online store, the Red-Legged Ham Beetle Kits (IL-660) feature the company’s signature pheromone lures that use a pheromone mixed into a food attractant to draw in Necrobia rufipes over a three-month period. The lures are paired with the Trapper Museum Monitor traps. These traps can easily be placed on floors, under display shelving, or beneath equipment throughout areas where red-legged ham beetles are found. Adults and larvae that are attracted to the lure are readily stuck in the glue upon entering the trap. The kit can tell users whether the beetles are present, where they are coming from, and whether the control measures you have taken are working.
