Rentokil Terminix recently acquired Action Pest Control, which is based in Evansville, Ind., on June 1, 2023.
Founded in 1946, Action Pest Control is one of the largest independent companies operating in the Midwestern U.S. with six branches across the broader tri-state area.
With 112 employees, the company also has locations in Owensboro and Louisville, Ky.; and Indianapolis, Terre Haute and Jasper, Ind.
Rentokil Terminix also recently acquired Sylvan Grove, Kan.-based World Pest Control.
Brian Meitler, owner of World Pest Control, said in a news release, “The partnership with Rentokil Terminix is a natural fit with values that puts the employees and customers at the front of everything we’ve done in the past and will continue into the future. We stressed from the beginning of the partnership that our employees and customers are our No. 1 concern. Most of our employees and customers are like family and have been part of the World Pest Control family for many years. About Rentokil Terminix
Last October, Rentokil acquired Memphis, Tenn.-based Terminix to create the entity Rentokil Terminix. The $6.7 billion deal was funded by $1.3 billion in cash and by more than 640 million Rentokil shares. The U.S. company’s shareholders own approximately 26 percent, and the combined company employs about 56,000 people across 87 countries.
