Stinging pests can range from a solitary bee to a group of ants. However, be mindful of pollinators when treating. Some pollinating species might be around the facility, but not directly causing an issue.
Flushing aerosols are good for solitary individuals. Foam solutions with residual insecticides are ideal for spraying nests and burrowing holes, and dusting is efficacious as well. For social groups, concentrate on eliminating the queen.
Always think about the species at hand. With some species, you might be able to treat the whole colony, whereas with other species, you might have to concentrate first on the colony workers. Another option is to treat a colony with a low percentage active ingredient bait that gives the bait enough time to be shared throughout the entire colony.
