The Certified Pest Control Operators of Georgia (CPCO of GA) and the non-profit charity Professionals Empowering, Sustaining & Transforming (P.E.S.T.) Relief International have teamed up to assist the young widow and son of a pest management professional (PMP).
Bradly Jordan was fatally shot on January 28, 2021, while working as a PMP, leaving behind his wife Hannah, and son Oliver. Bradly was servicing an apartment complex in Lawrenceville, Ga., when a stranger on location shot him.
In response to the tragedy, CPCO of GA and P.E.S.T. Relief International held an outreach effort, at the CPCO of GA Savannah Spring Seminar in April, to raise more awareness and support for this family. At the seminar, attendees wrote sympathy notes, made donations and created personalized artwork with their thumbprints representing leaves on a tree.
Hannah and Bradly met at a church vacation Bible school program in middle school, became friends and were eventually married. In a news release, Hannah described Bradly as “the most kind and amazing person anyone could have known.”
PMPs across the country are invited to consider a contribution to this young family. To make a tax-deductible gift, visit P.E.S.T. Relief International’s website and use the dropdown menu for designation to select ‘Hannah & Oliver’s Tree.’
P.E.S.T. Relief International has been making a difference in communities since its beginnings in 2013. Some of its most recent projects include donating bed bug service to a local family in need in Atlanta, Ga.; providing clean bedding and more to a youth shelter in Denver, Colo.; helping residents of a Salvation Army shelter in Atlanta; and co-piloting a REST program in Florida, to name just a few.
