Kim Kelley-Tunis, ACE, BCE, joined the Terminix Commercial technical team and will assume the role of technical manager.
“Kim’s broad experience and professional approach to client services is a perfect complement to the rest of the team,” says Dan Baldwin, director of commercial technical, training and regulatory services, who was brought on to lead the newly formed team earlier this year.
As technical manager, Kim will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of service offerings and training programs.
Kelley-Tunis brings more than 30 years of pest management experience to the Terminix Commercial team.
She started her career in pest management as a research assistant for Purdue’s Center for Urban and Industrial Pest Management, where she researched the biology, behavior and control of multiple ant species and developed control strategies and products for the German cockroach, cat flea and subterranean termite.
In 1995, PMP Hall of Famer Dr. Bobby Corrigan (Class of 2008) asked Kelley-Tunis to think about pest management as a career. So she started working in the field with McCloud Services in Schaumburg, Ill. For 14 years, she worked in different areas of the industry — training, service, route and sales work. In 2009, Kelley-Tunis and her family relocated to Raleigh, N.C., where she was Orkin’s Atlantic division technical manager. Most recently, she served more than 10 years in Atlanta, Ga., with Orkin’s parent company, Rollins Inc., working as the quality assurance and termite claims director.
Kelley-Tunis and Baldwin both currently serve on Pest Management Professional’s editorial advisory board.
