PestPulse, a Dublin, Ireland-based subsidiary of Terminix, acquired Prevent a Pest, a commercial-only pest control service with headquarters in Cork, Ireland.
With headquarters in the second-largest city in the Republic of Ireland, Prevent a Pest specializes in the safety of pharmaceutical, healthcare, food production, retail, hospitality, transport and warehousing areas for 10 counties in Ireland.
John Phelan founded Prevent a Pest in 1994 and has since been acting as the managing director. For almost two decades, the company has provided general pest and cockroach control, bed bug treatments, bird and rodent control for over 1,000 commercial customers.
Prevent a Pest is ISO 9001, 14001, and EN 16636 approved — each a certification proving the company is quality assured and environmentally approved. With each certification, Prevent a Pest successfully established its quality reputation in Ireland.
“To have the opportunity to continue to grow with a company that appreciates our pest control expertise and cares about our culture, customers and staff as much as we do was important to us,” Phelan said. “Pest Pulse’s technology and national coverage will only enhance the high-quality services we provide to our customers every day.”
In this transaction, Prevent a Pest will join PestPulse and significantly expand its footprint in Ireland.
Paul Giannnamore and Franco Villanueva-Meyer of The Potomac Co. advised Prevent a Pest in this transaction.
