Pi Chi Omega 2021 scholarship application deadline approaching

Pi Chi Omega, the national fraternity for pest management professionals, is currently accepting scholarship applications from undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in urban and industrial pest management. There is a total of 11,000 to be awarded in five scholarships by May 5, 2021. 

“The Scholarship Program helps fulfill our mission to connect and enrich the urban pest management industry,” Pi Chi Omega President Mark Sheperdigian, BCE, said in a news release. “Our Industry is enriched by the knowledge gained and research conducted by each of the students we support, and many remain connected to Pi Chi Omega by becoming professors or industry professionals.”

The scholarships, named in honor of Pi Chi Omega members, have supported 140 students through $219,000 in scholarships, to date.

Both current and past scholarship recipients are also eligible to apply for a 2021 scholarship, the options of which include:

Eligible students are currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate college students interested in urban or industrial pest management. Application packages are available here or by emailing office@pichiomega.org. Completed applications are due close of business on March 15, 2021.

Most recently, Pi Chi Omega hosted its semi-annual membership meeting during the annual Purdue Pest Management Conference, which took place virtually this year on Jan. 13.

ABOUT PI CHI OMEGA

Founded in 1950 on the campus of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind., Pi Chi Omega is comprised of nearly 450 members representing 38 states and four foreign countries. Members are interdisciplinary in scope; they cover a broad spectrum of disciplines, including:
