Based in Phoenix, Ariz., ACTION Termite & Pest Control is on track to acquire seven brands in the Arizona market this year, positioning it as one of the strongest acquirers in the region. The company was founded in 1969 but has been growing in recent years, building on its reputation of treating the acquired companies’ owners and employees very well and providing a smooth transition for customers.

Just since 2020, for example, the company has doubled its business size and remodeled its headquarters. Since late 2023, ACTION has partnered with Chicago, Ill.-based Shore Capital Partners to enhance ACTION’s footprint in the southwestern U.S.

ACTION CEO Brent Agee, a second-generation pest management professional (PMP) who has been in the industry since his technician days in high school, says he believes its success stems from a strong leadership team comprised of high-achieving members with “exceptional grit.”

“We provide strong valuations and unmatched post-close opportunities for our partners and their team members,” he points out.

ACTION was the first company in Arizona to allow home inspectors to work under its pest control license more than 15 years ago. Today, its inspector affiliate program continues to be a win-win for inspectors looking to add wood-destroying insect (WDI) inspection reports to their services and for customers looking to get their reports from a company they already know and trust.

Looking forward, Agee says, “We aim to continue our growth and momentum into other states in the Southwest, including Texas. We currently are seeking the right partners who are eager to scale their businesses and join a fast-growing platform, creating new growth opportunities for their team members.”

In addition to ranking on the Inc. 5000 this year at No. 4870, ACTION has another new announcement: It has been named the official pest control provider for the Phoenix Suns National Basketball Association (NBA) team, as well as the official service provider for all of the team’s facilities.
