Upcoming CEU webinar will cover mosquito distribution, behavior and control

Dr. Sydney Crawley

Dr. Sydney Crawley, vector scientist of Rentokil Terminix, and former North Carolina State professor, will present “Mosquito Control“ on Friday, Feb. 21, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Eastern. The webinar will be presented and hosted by longtime pest marketing professional Ed DeMask.

“Mosquito Control“ will explore the biology and management of common mosquitoes. Topics that will be discussed include the life cycle, behavioral ecology and distribution of mosquitoes, as well as a review of recommended chemicals for their control.

Dr. Sydney Crawley received her Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky in 2016 under the tutelage of Dr. Kenneth Haynes and Dr. Michael Potter, a Pest Management Professional Hall of Famer (Class of 2012). Her dissertation research focused on understanding the biology, behavior and chemical ecology of bed bugs, as well as the potential impact of sublethal effects of pesticides on bed bug management.
