The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA), which serves as the public outreach arm of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), will recognize National Pest Management Month in April.

“National Pest Management Month provides an opportunity for the industry to lead the conversation on why professional pest control matters,” said Dr. Jim Fredericks, BCE, executive director of PPMA. “This is a chance for companies nationwide to work together and amplify our collective efforts, ensuring the public understands the immeasurable impact of proper pest management in keeping our communities safe and healthy.”

A spotlight on the importance of pest management

  • Research conducted in 2024 by the NPMA found that 60 percent of Americans say having a pest-free home is important to them.
  • Studies also show that many citizens remain unaware of the serious health and structural threats posed by pests.
  • April aims to reinforce the need for industry-wide education and outreach.

PPMA is providing a dedicated toolkit that includes a customizable press release, suggested social media content, logos and more. The toolkit is available to Mainframe subscribers here.
