Sprague Pest Solutions promotes manager, celebrates ACE certifications

Sprague Pest Solutions, a commercial pest management services provider, promoted Michael Hempstead to operations manager for the team in Pasco, Wash. The company also recently revealed that two members of its Bellevue, Wash., branch earned their Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) certification.

Hempstead’s history with Sprague

• Joined the company in 2020 as a route manager.
• Helped the Pasco team earn the Branch of the Year award in 2023.
• Worked with some of Sprague’s largest food processing and grain storage facilities in the Tri-Cities area.
• Serviced wineries, farms and agricultural facilities.

In this new role, Hempstead will help the branch expand its reach and strengthen client relationships.

Chris Neely, ACE, and Sergio Martinez Aliaga, ACE

Chris Neely and Sergio Martinez Aliaga earned ACE certifications. Sprague now boasts a total of 36 ACE-certified professionals and 5 Board Certified Entomologists (BCEs) across its footprint. The ACE certification, awarded by the Entomological Society of America, signifies deep knowledge in entomology, pest biology and science-driven pest management practices.
