Truly Nolen Pest Control recently held ribbon-cutting ceremonies at two new Florida locations. The new Gainesville, Fla., franchise location is owned by Aaron and Stacie Pratt, and the Ocala, Fla., franchise is owned by Jonathan and Corinth Parker.
With these openings, Florida now has six Truly Nolen franchises — joining those in Jacksonville, Tallahassee, The Villages and Daytona Beach.
Aaron Pratt recently finished 26 years of work with Truly Nolen in Southwest Florida as a pest control technician. However, it was a decision he made with his wife, Stacie, who spent 27 years in the medical industry, that led them on a path to Gainesville.
“We wanted to move to Gainesville to be closer to family, and I really wanted to continue working in the pest control industry,” he says. “We realized that by opening a franchise, I could continue bringing the same quality of service to a new community.”
Jonathan Parker has 25 years of work experience in the automotive and financial planning industries. He was looking to build something that he could call his own after working for other companies throughout his career. His brother, Terrance Parker, who opened the company’s Daytona Beach franchise in January 2024, counseled him on the possibility of opening his own franchise, which led to him purchasing the territory rights for Ocala and Marion County.
“I approached Terrance and told him I wanted a different future for my children, and I wanted to build something that I could call my own,” said Parker. “He asked me if I had considered pest control, which I had not, and after speaking to my wife and praying about it, we opted to go forward as franchisees.”
The Tampa native and his wife are relocating to Ocala and are ready to make their new city home.
“I am super excited about meeting my new neighbors, building relationships, and becoming part of the local Ocala community,” said Parker.
