Several team members at Colony Pest Management, based in New York City, participated in No-Shave November this year to raise awareness for cancer.

At the end of November, Colony Pest Management donated a total of $800, $100 per team member that participated, to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Each participant was also given a gift card for their support and participation in No-Shave November.

Team members that participated in not shaving for the month of November included Anthony Hoahng, Thomas Griffin, Joe Sheehan, Tom O’Reilly, Marc Singh, Choirs Gill and Terrell Womack.

The goal of “Noshember” is to help raise awareness for cancer by embracing your hair, which many cancer patients lose, by letting it grow wild and free. Some donate the money they typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives and aid those fighting the battle.

Joe Sheehan, owner and president of Colony Pest Management, is also working to raise $10,000 to be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Light the Night event in Long Island, N.J. For more information, visit the website.

Colony Pest Management team members have organized a variety of other charitable initiatives. For instance, in 2016, they participated in No-Shave November for melanoma research awareness. In October 2019, the team also raised awareness for breast cancer by wearing the Colony Pest Management signature pink hat and donating money to breast cancer research.
