The National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA) is a nonprofit trade association for wildlife and pest management professionals that provides training, best practices, political advocacy and more. NWCOA’s certified wildlife control training curriculum includes how to repair structures to stop wildlife entry. This concept is a major priority for NWCOA, to increase the overall professionalism in the wildlife control industry. As a bonus, this training also allows certified owners to increase their revenue considerably.

Understanding wildlife in structures isn’t the issue, but rather a symptom of the real issue: What is allowing wildlife to enter? For example, is the raccoon in the chimney the problem? No, it is a symptom of the real issue: a lack of a chimney cap, which would deter entry.

After the removal of offending wildlife, being able to end future wildlife entry offers clients peace of mind. Plus, quality repair service can offer a high return in increased revenue. Check out this and other upcoming training events — some of which are free for NWCOA members — online at NWCOA.com.

Also among next year’s events is Wildlife Expo 2024. Taking place in Houston, Texas, Feb. 6-8 and jointly hosted by NWCOA and the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), there will be presentations from industry professionals, an exhibition hall with the latest and greatest from industry suppliers, and training opportunities both before and after the event. We hope to see you there!
