The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) celebrates April as National Pest Management Month, emphasizing the critical role of pest management professionals (PMPs) in safeguarding public health, food and property.
This annual tradition recognizes not only the hard work of industry service professionals, but also customer service representatives, sales personnel, managers and more.
New this year to coincide with National Pest Management Month, NPMA has created a special webpage for the industry to celebrate the essential contributions of the pest management industry in protecting communities nationwide. Under the theme “Public Health Matters, Pest Management Counts,” NPMA will be providing tools to thank team members, colleagues and coworkers on a job well done.
This new recognition program is sponsored by Syngenta.
“We extend our sincere appreciation to Syngenta for their invaluable partnership in helping us develop this great program,” Dominique Stumpf, CEO of NPMA, said in the news release. “Together, we reinforce the message that pest management is not just about eliminating nuisances; it’s about protecting public health, preserving food supplies, and safeguarding properties from damage.”
Throughout April, NPMA encourages PMPs to utilize the website resources, which includes e-cards for colleagues and staff, as well as sample graphics and copy for social media platforms. These resources serve to reinforce the critical role of pest management and highlight the industry’s dedication to ensuring healthier, safer communities.
“Our industry plays a vital role in promoting public health, keeping our families, friends, and communities protected from the threat of pests. Syngenta is excited to partner with NPMA on National Pest Management Month, when we come together to thank pest management professionals for the valuable work you do,” said Marshall Gaster, head of marketing for the Professional Pest Management division of Syngenta.
The National Pest Management Month resources will be available starting in April.
