Sprague Pest Solutions celebrated the recipients of its fourth annual Sprague Scholarship.
The scholarship program, created in 2020, recognizes Sprague team members, their dependents and family members for their academic excellence, leadership potential and dedication to our communities.
This year broke the previous record for total applications received.
Sprague distributed a combined $10,000 to four individuals:
- Makeilee Johnson of Wenatchee, Wash., attending Pacific Lutheran University, is the daughter of Sprague Route Manager Eric Garcia.
- Maddie Van Steenwyk of Turlock, Calif., attending San Diego State University is the daughter of Sprague Regional Entomologist Darren Van Steenwyk.
- Londyn Nettles of Sacramento, Calif., attending California State University is the daughter of Sprague Regional Account Manager Dave Nettles.
- Jaden Jennings of Lake Stevens, Wash., attending Western Washington University is the son of Sprague Regional Account Manager Gary Jennings.
By providing financial assistance, the Tacoma, Wash.-based company notes, the Sprague scholarship program “empowers team members and their families to pursue higher education. This program is just one small way that Sprague demonstrates its commitment to widening access to education and investing in the communities we serve.”

Treleven Sr. Now in its fourth generation, the Treleven family still leads the company today — including Pest Management Professional Hall of Famer Larry Treleven (Class of 2016).
