Rose Pest Solutions hosted an open house at its new Beverly location at 10644 S. Western Avenue, Chicago Friday, June 28 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Beverly Area Planning Association (BAPA), along with company President Bob Dold Jr., welcomed neighbors to the festivities. Dold’s parents and company co-owners — and Pest Management Professional (PMP) Hall of Famers — Bob and Judy Dold (Class of 2002) also hosted the event.

“The Beverly neighborhood is ideal for Rose because it will allow us to serve all of our customers on the south side and in south suburbs like Orland Park, Frankfort, New Lenox, Oak Lawn, Alsip and Joliet as well as many towns in between in a more timely fashion,” Janelle Iaccino, Rose’s marketing director, said. “We are excited about our new customer base that has evolved over the last five years in these areas and are excited to have more staff in the area to be available as quickly as possible. Experts at the Beverly branch live and work in the communities we serve which is about a 50 mile radius from each of our branch locations. We look forward to being a resource in this area for many generations to come.”

Because Northfield, Ill.-based Rose was once headquartered in Chicago, the company has deep roots in the city, representing a time when it had offices from New Jersey to California. The company was founded by PMP Hall of Famer Solomon Rose (Class of 2001), whose first customer is said to be Abraham Lincoln — who hired Rose to protect Union Army soldiers from rat bites in their encampments. The Dold family was an early Rose franchisee, and their third-generation legacy continues today by serving communities in Illinois and Wisconsin

“Rose is proud of its legacy of community involvement. And we thought this event would be a great way to meet new neighbors,” Iaccino said. “We are here as a household and environmental resource and hope everyone will take advantage of that.”
