Using botanical granule to treat mosquitoes

Many homeowners are looking for greener service options, particularly for mosquito control. Botanical insecticides are a great choice for creating an effective mosquito barrier around a home. Botanicals are strongly repellent and can also deliver quick kill of adults and larvae. Many botanical oil components act in the vapor phase and create “true repellency” — making the area undesirable for mosquitoes.

To help extend residual control, a botanical granule is a great complement to a spray treatment for a more gradual release of the botanical vapors. Use granules in landscaped areas with heavy growth, under porches and decks, and other shaded, damp areas where mosquitoes tend to live, harbor and breed. A botanical wettable dust also can be used as a supplemental spot treatment to extend the barrier’s residual protection. Apply as a spray in the same shaded, damp areas mentioned above.
